System Requirements: emCluster
Sonnet emCluster Computing is the Clustering solution from Sonnet Software which offers an interface to Platform Computing’s LSF software. In order to use Sonnet emCluster with LSF, you must have the following:
- An emCluster using Platform LSF license. The LSF Cluster option is available only with the Sonnet Professional suite and must be purchased separately. Please see your system administrator if you are unsure of the availability of this program.
- A Sonnet em license available for each server host and client host. Note that if you use node-locked licenses, then you will need one license for each server host and client host in your cluster on which you plan to perform em analyses. If you have a floating license, then each server host and client host must be able to check out an em license.
- Version 7 of Platform Computing’s LSF. The software may function with other versions but has only been tested on version 7 update 6.

Platform Computing’s LSF is the only third party cluster software presently supported by Sonnet.
