Current Density Viewer does not display the correct colors or will not open the 3D viewer on a Linux system

Known Bugs


Symptoms

On a Linux system, either the colors are wrong when viewing a project in 2D in the current density viewer, and/or you receive the error message, shown below, when attempting to open the 3D viewer (View => 3D) in the current density viewer.

OpenGL Warning

OpenGL does not appear to be installed

Cause

The color depth for your system is set to 16 bit. This occurs on both RedHat and SuSE Linux systems.

Work around

Set the color depth for your system to either 8 or 24 bit; the problem does not occur with either of these settings.
