Frequency Sweep Combinations
Project Editor - Analysis Setup Dialog Box - Analysis Setup
Frequency sweep combinations are used to run an analysis using multiple sets of frequencies in sorted or unsorted order, and may also enable Adaptive Band Synthesis (ABS) used to model the response across a frequency band. ABS may also be used in finding the maximum or minimum value for a S-parameter in a frequency band.
Select Frequency Sweep Combinations from the Analysis Control drop list in the Analysis Setup dialog box. A list of frequencies appears with buttons which allow you to edit this list appearing to the right of the column. If this is the first time a frequency sweep combination has been set up for this file, the list is empty.
To add a set of frequencies, click on the Add button. To edit an existing set of frequencies, click on the entry line. When it is highlighted, click on the Edit button. Either of these actions opens the Frequency Sweep Entry dialog box which allows you to edit or generate an entry. For details about editing an entry, see the Frequency Sweep Entry dialog box. To move an entry up in the list, click on the entry to select it, then click on the Up button. To move an entry down in the list, click on the entry to select it, then click on the Down button.
Once you have specified all of your frequency sweeps, clicking on the Save button opens a Browse window which allows you to save the settings to an external frequency control file (''.eff''). All the frequency entries in the list are copied to the file. Clicking on the Load button opens a Browse window which allows you to import a previously saved external frequency control file. The frequency sweeps defined in this file are displayed in the scroll list below. After you input the file, you may click on any sweep and edit its contents.
Editing the frequency sweeps in this dialog box do not affect the contents of the external frequency file unless you use the Save button to save the new settings to the same file.
