How do I change the normalizing impedance of a port?
You may change the normalizing impedance of a port in Sonnet before or after you analyze. Both methods are detailed below.
To change the port normalizing impedance before analyzing the circuit, do the following:
1. Double-click on the port to open the Port Properties dialog box. If you wish to change the excitation of multiple ports, select all the desired ports, then select Modify => Port Properties from the project editor main menu.
2. Enter the desired values for the resistance, reactance, inductance and capacitance. The equivalent circuit of a port is pictured below to show how these values are used.

3. Click on the OK button to close the dialog box and apply the values.
You may change the normalizing impedance of any port after analysis in the response viewer. See Graph => Terminations for details.
