The Sweeps page is opened when you select "Sweeps" in the side bar menu of the Circuit Settings dialog box and allows you set up the frequency sweeps for your simulation. The controls are explained below.

Analyze with Sweeps: Select this radio button if you wish to control your analysis with the sweep sets defined on this page. Selecting this radio button enables all the other controls on this page.

Analyze with Optimization: Select this radio button if you wish to use the goal sets defined on the Optimization page for your analysis. You may click on the link in the radio button to go to the Goal tab on the Optimization page or click on "Optimization" in the sidebar menu, then click on the Goal tab if it is not already selected. Selecting this radio button disables all the other controls on this page.

Perform Parameter Sweeps: Parameter sweeps are used to run analyses while varying the values of user-defined variables. If you wish to vary the values of a variable during the analysis, this checkbox should be selected. When this checkbox is selected, a variable section is added to each sweep set which allows you to select the variables you wish to use in the parameter sweep and define the type and range of values. If this checkbox is not selected, the present nominal value of any variable is used for the analysis. This checkbox is only enabled when the Analyze with Sweeps radio button is selected.

Add Sweep Set Clicking on this button adds a new sweep set to the list, but you will need to define the analysis frequencies and parameter values. For details on defining your frequencies and variable ranges, see Sweep Set. If the check box in front of the sweep set is checked it is used in the analysis. If the checkbox is unchecked, the entries are not used in the analysis.

Edit: Click on edit when you wish to change a frequency or variable entry in a sweep set. This button is only enabled when a frequency or variable entry is selected. When you click on Edit, inputs are displayed in the entry that allow you to change the settings. For details on these controls, see Sweep Set. You may also double-click on an entry to edit it.

Type: This drop list allows you to select a type of sweep when editing an entry and is only enabled if you are editing an entry. For details on the types of frequency sweeps, see Frequency Sweeps. For details on the types of parameters sweeps, see Parameter Sweeps.

Duplicate: Click on the Duplicate button to create a copy of the presently selected entry. You may use this button to create a copy of a Sweep Set, frequency entry or variable entry.

Move Up: Click on the Move Up button to move the selected entry up one position in the list.

Move Down: Click on the Move Down button to move the selected entry down one position in the list.

Delete: Click on the Delete button to remove the selected entry from the list. This action is not permitted if you have selected a variable, and there is only one instance of that variable in the list.

Import: Click on the Import button to open a browse window which allows you to select another Sonnet project and import the sweeps from that project. Note that if the project you are importing sweeps from contains parameters that do not exist in the target project, the sweep set is imported without the missing variable included. The imported sweeps are appended to the existing sweeps.
