Q-Factor Accuracy

Parent Previous Next

There is a Q-Factor analysis run option available in the EM Options page of the Circuit Settings dialog box (Circuit  Settings). Selecting this option forces a higher accuracy for ABS convergence by including the Q-factor of your analysis as a criterion for convergence. This is done to insure high accuracy in the Q-Factor result when ABS is used. The Q-Factor is defined as follows:

The result is higher accuracy from the ABS sweep, but. this accuracy comes at the cost of requiring more discrete frequencies to be analyzed before convergence is reached.
