Project => Manage => Unlock

 Sonnet Task Bar - Project Menu - Project Manage Menu

When em is running an analysis, the project is locked to prevent any changes being written to it so that the response data is consistent with the circuit. When the analysis is complete or stopped, the project is unlocked.

If you determine that em is not presently running, but the project is still locked, select Project => Manage => Unlock from the main menu of the Sonnet task bar which opens the Unlock Project dialog box. This dialog box allows you to unlock a project file.

Warning:      It is important that you conclusively determine that em is not running before you unlock the project. If you perform an unlock while em is running, you may corrupt your analysis results.

To unlock a project file, do the following:

1.   Select Project => Manage => Unlock from the Sonnet task bar main menu.

The Unlock Project dialog box appears on your display.

2.   Enter the directory in which the project you wish to unlock presides.

You may enter the directory directly, or use the Browse button to open a browse window which allows you to select the project you wish to unlock. If you use the Browse window both the Directory and Project(s) text entry boxes are updated.

3.   Enter the name of the existing project that you wish to unlock in the Project text entry box in the Unlock Project dialog box.

4.   Click on the Unlock button to unlock the project file.

This executes the unlock command on the specified project. If the project is not presently locked, you receive a message indicating this and no action is taken.

5.   When the Unlock is complete, click on the Close button to close the dialog box.

You may unlock another project before closing the dialog box.

6.   Once the unlock is complete, you may click on the View Details button to open a window which lists the details of executing the unlock command.
