How do I set up a DC Frequency sweep?
If you need to do an Adaptive sweep, you may automatically calculate a response at a DC point by specifying an ABS sweep whose starting frequency is zero, so there would be no need to specify this sweep.
However, if you do not wish to run an ABS sweep, but need to obtain response at a DC Point, use the following procedure.
To set up a DC Frequency Sweep in which your circuit is analyzed at a low, non-zero frequency to approximate response data at a DC point, do the following:
Open your project in the project editor
Select Analysis
=> Setup from the project
editor menu.
The Analysis Setup dialog box appears on your display.
Select Frequency Sweep Combinations
from the Analysis Control drop list.
The appearance of the dialog box is updated.
Click on the Add button to
the right of the Frequencies list as shown below.
The Frequency Sweep Entry dialog box appears on your display.
Select "DC Frequency"
from the Sweep Type drop list.
The appearance of the dialog box changes.
Specify the Analysis Frequency.
Select the Automatic radio button if you wish em
to calculate the frequency. The algorithm for computing the analysis
frequency is based on cell size; therefore, this value will change
if cell size is changed in the circuit. The automatically calculated
value will be displayed but may not be edited. If you wish to specify
the analysis frequency, click on the Manual
radio button; this enables the Frequency text entry box to the right.
Enter the desired frequency here. The frequency you enter must be
greater than ''0.0''. Be aware in either case, that although a non-zero
value is used for the frequency, the output of the analysis will contain
the analysis frequency ''0.0'' Hz.
Click on the OK button to
close the dialog box and apply the changes.
An entry for the DC Frequency sweep now appears in the Analysis Setup
dialog box as shown below.
