Command Line Programs
The following is a list of Sonnet programs which may be run from a system command such as a DOS batch file or a Linux shell. For each program, use the "-h" option to see the syntax. For example, "em -h" gives help on the "em" command.
- em: Runs the EM solver.
- sonnet: Runs the main Sonnet user interface, including opening Edit, Job Queue, Graph, Current Density, and Far Field tabs.
- dxfgeo: Translates a dxf file into a Sonnet project file.
- gds: Translates a GDSII file into a Sonnet project file.
- runmacro: Run a Sonnet Macro Command (*.smc) file. See Using Sonnet's Macro Language.
- emstatus: Runs a Sonnet project file using a Job Queues tab, so you can monitor the progress of your analysis.
- emserver: Starts an EM server. See Remote EM Overview.
- viamerge: Runs via simplification on a Sonnet project.
- soncmd: Runs Sonnet's utility program.
