Analyzing Projects
Sonnet EM analyses are performed by adding projects to a job queue. Projects in the job queue are submitted to the EM solver sequentially. Once the EM solver has completed an analysis of a project, the next project in the queue is automatically submitted to the EM solver. This continues until the analysis of the last project in the queue has completed.
Projects may be submitted to a job queue at any time, even if an analysis is still running.
Opening a Job Queues Tab
If a Job Queues tab is not already open, there are several ways to open a Job Queues tab in your session:
- Click the Analyze Project button in the Session tab.
- Select File > Analyze from the main menu in the Session tab.
- Select Launch > Analyze from the main menu of any other application tab.
- Click the Analyze button in the Launch toolbar in any other application tab
If you have any remote EM servers configured when the Job Queues tab is opened, the Select Server dialog box is opened which allows you to choose from a list of available EM servers.
A Job Queues tab may contain multiple server queue tabs. This allows you to run jobs on multiple remote EM servers simultaneously.
Add a Project to an Existing Queue
If you already have a Job Queues tab opened, you may add projects to the existing queue using any of the following methods:
- If you have the project open in another Sonnet tab, select Launch > Analysis > Add to <server>, where <server> is the name of the EM server.
- If you have the project open in another Sonnet tab, click the Add to queue button in the Launch toolbar.
- From the Job Queues tab, select File > Add Project.
- Click the
Add button in the Queue toolbar of the Job Queues tab.
Import/Export Project List
If you have a long list of projects you wish to analyze sequentially, you may import a list of projects into an existing server queue. To so so, select File > Import Project List from the Job Queues tab main menu and browse for a project list. The file format of the project list is a list of the project names, one per line.
You may also create a project list file which contains all the projects in a server queue by selecting File > Export Project List from the Job Queues tab main menu.
