GDSII Translator

The GDSII Translator requires a GDSII Translator license from Sonnet.

The GDSII Translator allows you to import GDSII files using the Import Wizard. It also allows you to export a Sonnet layout to a GDSII file using the Export Wizard.

Unsupported GDSII Structures

The following GDSII structures are not supported and will be discarded by the GDSII translator:

• Polylines
• Circles
• 3D structures

The Getting Started Tutorial includes a section on using the GDSII Translator to import a simple layout.
