Preferences Dialog Box - General Tab

Response Viewer  - File Menu - File => Preferences

These are the settings available on the General tab of the Preferences dialog box. To view this, select File => Preferences from the response viewer menu, then click on the General tab at the top of the Preferences dialog box which appears on your display.

Always check for updated files: Select this checkbox to have the response viewer automatically check your project(s) for updates when you have a plot open. Enter the desired time between automatic updates of project files in the text entry box below.. This time is used if the Always Check for Updated Files checkbox is selected or if Auto Freshen Files is selected in the menu.

Always print in black and white: Select this checkout if you wish to always print pictures of your plots in black and white.

Curve group common property: Since a curve group may include multiple curves, you may select a property of the curve plots that all the curves in a curve group will share. Select the property you wish the curves to share in a curve group from this drop list. Your choices are Symbol, Color and Line Style. For example, if you choose symbol, then the curves in a curve group can be different colors but data points will be represented with the same symbol. The default common property is the symbol.

Fade unselected curves: Select this checkbox if you wish to have unselected curves displayed with diminished brightness.

Ignore automatically saved graphs and use defaults: Plots are automatically saved so that when you later open a project, the last displayed plot for the project appears in the response viewer.  If you set this option to on, then when you open a project the default plot (DB[S11]) is displayed when projects are opened, instead of the saved state. This option is off by default.

Keyboard: Clicking on this button opens the Keyboard dialog box which allows you to create custom definitions of keyboard entries, also known as hot keys.
