Parameters and Parameter Sweep Analysis

Sonnet Software

Geometry parameters

Circuit Parameters make it easier than ever to modify your circuit geometries. With geometry parameters, you can easily set and modify lengths, widths and gaps. Geometry parameters also form the basis of EM based optimization and geometry parameter sweeps. They may be used to define how the geometry will change for each iteration. Scaling and radial parameters are also available.

Geometry Parameter Sweep Analysis

Geometry Parameter Sweep Analysis makes it easy to perform design studies based on accurate EM analysis. Sweep your geometry to get design curves with automated geometry modification and analysis. Single and multiple parameter analysis sweeps may be conducted in order to perform manufacturing tolerance sensitivity studies.

Optimization based on EM Analysis

Sonnet Software

Optimization based on EM analysis

Optimization based on EM analysis. Use your EM simulator for both analysis and design, with the ability to optimize circuit geometries to fit a desired response. Optimization may be defined by user defined goals, or to match either an external S-parameter data file or a lumped element equivalent circuit defined in a netlist. Using space mapping techniques, the best dimensions are located (either on- or off-grid) and the geometry may be updated for layout export to your favorite layout tool.

Analysis and Optimization of Hybrid netlist/geometry projects

Analysis and Optimization of Hybrid netlist/geometry projects. A  netlist editor exists within the Sonnet Suite, and can be used to define and analyze networks consisting of Sonnet geometry projects, lumped elements, ideal transmission lines and external data files such as S-parameters. This capability enables hierarchical designs, where netlist projects may themselves refer to other netlist or geometry projects.
