Our Keysight ADS Interface puts Sonnet at your fingertips within the ADS design framework. The interface provides seamless interoperability between Sonnet and Keysight ADS.
EM project information including geometry, substrate, analysis settings, and ports are automatically pipelined into Sonnet from ADS Schematic, ADS Layout or from existing ADS Momentum designs. EM simulation by Sonnet is driven entirely from ADS and Sonnet's EM analysis results are automatically incorporated into ADS schematic symbols and are made available for use as part of the Component Library within ADS. You can even view 3D models of your ADS layout with just a single menu selection within ADS.
The ADS Interface is invoked from a Sonnet menu item in the ADS Layout environment.
A powerful feature in the Sonnet ADS Interface is the use of ADS Schematic Layout Look-Alike symbols for data generated by Sonnet EM analysis as containiners for the EM generated datasets. The ADS Interface imports the EM analysis data and creates a Layout Look-Alike symbol based on the final geometry information used in the Sonnet EM analysis. The Layout Look-Alike symbol is automatically incorporated with the corresponding schematic component model containing the EM results imported into ADS from Sonnet. These Sonnet-generated Components are available for use in any ADS schematic design of choice.

- Create Layout Look-Alike symbols for geometries simulated by Sonnet.

- Automatically pipeline EM project design information including substrate and metal properties, layer mapping, analysis settings, ports, reference planes and more.
- Flexibility to have EM analysis controlled by settings in the ADS Schematic, Layout or Momentum Design.
- Simulate planar resistors, MIM capacitors, multiple metalization types, multiple dielectric layers and PWB designs.
- Create new Design Kit Library designs with Sonnet simulation results automatically incorporated in place of circuit theory library models. Include all cross-coupling, parasitic and enclosure effects computed by Sonnet’s precision EM analysis engine.
- Easily edit layout geometry within Sonnet's Project Editor; even add Sonnet's new Co-calibrated™ Ports in place of ADS Internal Ports, and apply advanced and accurate circuit tuning techniques for fast design optimization based on EM analysis.
The Sonnet ADS Interface is available for Linux and Windows in both node-locked and in network license configurations. The Sonnet ADS Interface is included with the FREE Sonnet Lite. However, for Sonnet Suite Level 2 Basic and up, the ADS Interface is an option for purchase.
The ADS Interface is installed as an ADS Design Kit and can be setup at the Site, User, Startup or at the Project Level. See the System Requirements for supported OS's and ADS versions
If you are a Sonnet customer with a present installation, you can easily evaluate the ADS Interface by contacting us and requesting an ADS Interface demo license. Since Sonnet is already installed on your network, you simply need an ADS Interface license to enable the Sonnet Keysight ADS Interface.
