Sonnet Suites - Variables for Material Properties and Thicknesses

Parametric Control for Dielectric and Metal Properties and Thickness

You may now control your materials parametrically using variables to control material properties and thicknesses, as well as for lumped element values in ideal Components. With this new feature comes the ability to parametrically control:

  • Dielectric thickness
  • Dielectric loss properties
  • Metal Thickness
  • Metal loss properties
  • Ideal Component properties

It is also possible to perform automatic parameter sweep analysis and optimization for material properties and thicknesses of both dielectrics and metals.

Variable material control in Sonnet

Data input windows for dielectric thickness (background) and metal thickness (foreground). You can also control permittivity, conductivity, loss tangents, and other material properties with variables or equations.
