Cannot open or analyze a project in Sonnet Lite

Known Bugs

Symptoms

Attempting to open a project, or analyze a project using Sonnet Lite 11.53 produces the following error:

ERROR: Cannot execute :

"C:\PROGRA~1\SONNET~1.53\\bin\\lmgrd.exe" -app -c

C:\PROGRA~1\SONNET~1.53\licenses\sonnet.lic -l

C:\PROGRA~1\SONNET~1.53/log/flexlm.log

Error code = 2

Cause

Sonnet Lite is attempting to startup a license manager which it does not require to run.

Work around

To prevent the program from attempting to start up the license manager, do the following:

1. Open the Sonnet Task bar.

2. Select Admin => Diagnostics => Environment from the main menu of the task bar.

3. In the Sonnet Environment window which appears, clear the "Use SONNETD_LICENSE_FILE and LM_LICENSE_FILE variables for licensing" checkbox.

4. Click on the OK button in the Sonnet Environment window to close it and apply the changes.

5. Close, then restart the Sonnet task bar.
