Circuit => Parameters

Project Editor Menu - Circuit Menu - Parameters dialog box

Geometry Project

Selecting Circuit => Parameters opens the Parameters dialog box which allows you to edit the nominal values of all the parameters in your circuit at once. Each parameter has a text entry box for its name and for its present nominal value. If you enter a new nominal value for a parameter, your geometry is redrawn to reflect the new value when this dialog box is closed. You may not change the parameter name here. To change the name of a parameter, you must double-click on the parameter in your circuit to open the Parameter Properties dialog box.

Netlist Project

Selecting Circuit => Parameters opens the Parameters dialog box which allows you to create and edit parameters for your netlist project.

Click on the New button to add a new parameter. Two text entry boxes; one for the parameter name and the other for the nominal value. Enter the desired name for the new parameter in the Parameter text entry box and the desired nominal value in the Nominal Value text entry box. Once these parameters are created, you may use them to define the value of modeled elements in your netlist, such as resistors, capacitors, inductors and transmission lines. In other words, the modeled element uses the present nominal value of the parameter for the netlist analysis. This dialog box allows you to change the value of all your parameters at once rather then having to edit each modeled element entry in your netlist.

Creating parameters allows you to perform an parameter sweep or optimization on your netlist.

If you wish to remove a parameter, click in one of the text entry boxes for that parameter, then click on the delete button.
