Project Elements

A Project Element is a Sonnet project which is included in a Netlist Project (see Netlist Project Overview). The Project Element can be a geometry project or a netlist project. When a Project Element is added to your network, its entry is listed as "PRJ".
The example att contains project files att_combine, att_lumped, and att_lumped2. These projects are examples of using a Project Element in a netlist. You may access these files using the Example Browser.
EM Simulation
If a netlist project contains a geometry Project Element, the EM solver executes an electromagnetic analysis at the specified frequencies. If the geometry subproject was previously run and has pre-existing data the EM solver skips the electromagnetic analysis and uses the available data.
When the frequency sweeps of a subproject are not the same as those of the netlist, the option Apply sweeps to entire subproject hierarchy determines which frequency sweep is used. See the description in the EM Options section of the Netlist Project Overview topic for an explanation.
Parameters
If there are variables defined in the project that are being used as a Project Element, they will appear in the Element Parameters section of the Edit Element dialog box. This is shown in the example below.
The default value of each parameter is set to the subproject's nominal value, but may be changed to another value. The value may be either a floating-point number, or a variable defined in the netlist project.
